Prince Turki bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, the General president of Meteorology and Environmental Protection Presidency and Dr. Osama Bin Sadiq Tayeb President of King Abdulaziz University at the presidential headquarters in Jeddah yesterday, have signed a memorandum of understanding between the Centre of Excellence in The Prince Turki Unit of Science and Technology at the General Presidency of Meteorology and Environmental Protection, and Center of Excellence in Environmental Studies at King Abdulaziz University. The memorandum aims to enhance mutual cooperation through scientific research and technical support, and consultancy and training programs in the field of environmental studies, in addition to encouraging work to conduct research projects, providing technical consultancy, implementation of training programs and activating the cooperation process concerning practical training for the male and female students of the university.
The Cooperation Memorandum Includes Summer Training, support and guide some of the selected research projects of the male and female graduate and undergraduate students, so that to contribute in solving the environmental issues, in addition to participating in the implementation of academic activities including workshops, training programs, short courses, scientific lectures and other activities that are to promote the objectives.
According to this memorandum, which lasts 36 month starting1/8/1431 H. both parties are committed to provide and offer all supports and facilities. Biannual reviewing of memorandum will be taking place regularly.
