Unit of Science and Technology at Centre of Excellence in Prince Turki bin Nasser, at the General Presidency of Meteorology and Environmental Protection, signed a memorandum of understanding with Center of Excellence in Environmental Studies at King Abdulaziz University, for a period of 36 Hijri months, Provided that is to be periodically reviewed on a biannual basis during the period of validity by mutual agreement.
And The Memorandum signed by Prince Turki bin Nasser General President of Meteorology and Environmental Protection Presidency and Dr. Osama Tayeb President of King Abdulaziz University, in his Highness office at the presidency yesterday, aims to enhance mutual cooperation through scientific research, technical support, and consultancy and training programs in the field of environmental studies, in addition to encouraging work to conduct research projects, provide technical consultancy, implement of training programs and activate the cooperation process concerning the practical training of male and female university students including summer training, support and guide some of the selected research projects.
The Memorandum contributes in solving the environmental issues, and participates in implementation of academic activities including workshops, training programs, short courses, lectures and other activities that would enhance objectives. Prince Turki bin Nasser emphasized that the presidency is keen to create channels with research studies centers of environment and meteorology in the Kingdom, where there are elite scholars in research and training. Moreover, he pointed that KAU is in a close cooperation with the Presidency because it comprises faculty of Meteorology and environment which provides the Presidency with qualified graduates.
