Center of Excellence organized the first environmental forum for the disposal of domistic solid waste

Center of Excellence in Environmental Studies at KAU in cooperation with Saudi ARAMCO, Organized the first environmental forum under programs of the Center which come to embody its role in environmental awareness, community service and cooperation with the industrial sectors in the environmental field.

The forum was witnessed by elite staff members of the faculty, graduate students and employees of relevant authorities in environmental affairs, and it was held at the main lecture theater of Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences. The forum included several lectures presented by researchers of the Center and the employees of Saudi ARAMCO Which focused on the safe disposal of domestic solid waste and hazardous, measurements of air quality and industrial wastewater treatment and recycling, Saudi ARAMCO showed its experience in these areas.

After that, there was an open discussion and valuable comments and the forum ended with honoring the lecturers by Dr. Abdullah bin Mustafa Mahraji, Director of the Center.
