“Let’s Recycle It Campaign”

The Community Service and Training Unit, a sub-committee of the Center of Excellence for Environmental Studies, in cooperation with the Department of Earth Sciences held “Let’s Recycle It Campaign” on Saturday 24/1/1434 AH – 8/12/2012 on the occasion of international cleaning day. The occasion was held in the Department of Earth Sciences college and about 50-60 students participated in the event. The campaign started with introductory about the center delivered by Prof. Ibrahim Hassan, followed by a word from CEES Deputy Director for Technical Affairs Dr. Iqbal Ismail to define the recycling concept and its importance. Afterword, a delegate from WASCO company Mr. Najeeb Mohammed Fageh delivered a lecture in defining and presenting the company’s recycling services. The campaign concluded by reciting a poem about the environment and delivering an interactive contests. The event received news coverage by the media center in King Abdulaziz University.
