PME-CEES-SEPCO Collaborative Research

Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) in Transformer oil collection, analysis and treatment, project meeting was held at PME (Presidency of Meteorology and Environment) office with PME delegates, SEPCO (Saudi Gulf Environmental Protection Company) team and CEES research Team. Dr. Ahmad Saleh Summan, Deputy Director Technical Affairs, elaborated about the safety measures before and after collecting the transformer oil. Dr. Arulazhagan Pugazhendi, Head - Environmental Microbiology and Biotechnology group, detailed PCB analysis and treatment methods such as biological and chemical methods. PME concluded to support the research project.
