The Center of Excellence in Environmental Studies Participated in the Arbitration Program for Competition of science and engineering talent for scientific research presented to King Abdul Aziz Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity, which was held in Prince Sultan University in Riyadh.
The number of projects submitted was 88, the Centre reviewed 17 projects, and there were 7 projects related to environmental sciences has reached 7, and one of the projects reviewed by (dr. Hoda Abdullatif Qari) which addresses one of the center main themes entitled "using gray water released from conditioners to reduce the consumption of water in the bathrooms", be qualified for the international competition to be hold in the United States of America. It has been agreed with the Chairman of the Jury (Dr. Ibrahim Alwi) to supervise the project through the Center for Excellence in Environmental Studies represented by dr. Hoda Abdullatif Qari. This willing will reflects the Centre's role in community service and funding research as there is a potential to take the idea of this project further and apply it on a proper scientific basis on building and hopefully it can be submitted to international competition.
