Innovative Solutions for Environmental Problems

The Centre, together with a number of volunteers held an awareness campaign at Faculty of Science’s plaza at King AbdulAziz University.

The awareness campaign proposed innovative and low cost solutions for water pollution problems. It had twelve different presentations on prevention of water pollution using video clips and other educational materials to show causes of the problems and often the most suitable solutions. The campaign also present photos of water polluted with oil and solid waste, taken by participants from different parts of KSA. There was also a poster session included the impacts of water pollution on marine life and this was supported by plant samples showing visible injury symptoms.

Some live games and activities were used which promote live interaction among the audience to spread joyful atmosphere along with achieving the desired goal of the campaign, and then discovered the pollution caused by the individual and how to increase the awareness within the community members.
