On the 22nd of April 2014, at Al-Andalus Mall , CEES at King Abdulaziz University had held an event titled Adults with Environment celebrating the Earth Day, in cooperation with Faculty of Meteorology ,Environment, and Aired Land Agriculture represented by the Environmental Science Department , Home Economics College , and Deanship of Student Affairs .
More than 200 kids were pleased to participate on the Adults with Environment event, there were different activities like plastic recycling car and kids educational workshop. This event was recorded by the photographic corner, where each kid received a free personal photograph. In addition, funny contests and songs which were held on a purposeful theater that lead to a good concepts about healthy environment.
Aya and Picture, a contest organized by a deanship of student affair was reused to show the best pictures that represent a given environmental messages.
Advertizing materials of Walk on Green contest sponsored by IKEA were passed away to all children attended the event.
The event was directed by an organizing committee and volunteers who had a prominent role in the event along with a successful guidance from Dr. Ahmad Alansari, head of environment science department.
At the end the director of the center Dr. Mansor Balkhoior , the chairman of the community service committee at environment science department, and Dr. Talal Almelabe, the deputy director of the Center of Excellence in Environmental Studies have honored the sponsors and the volunteers .
