The study aimed to identify the impact of social networks on the employee productivity, also aimed to identify the extent of social networking usage during working hours' time by the health affairs employees in the Holy Capital, and identify the contents traded through social networks, and the most motivated to use networks social network, as well as to identify the positive and negative effects of the of social networks usage.
The study used a descriptive and analytical approach in order to describe and analyze the impact of social networks usage on the employee productivity, from the perspective of health affairs staff in Holy Capital, based on the questionnaire as a major tool for collecting information from the study sample, which is the (104) employees, representing 36%of the total health affairs staff in holy capital from various degrees and administrative levels.
The study had concluded many of important results: That the most prominent advantage of social networks usage according to the employees point of view is the communication between the employees, and contribute to the exchange of ideas between the employees and the delivery of the opinions to the officials. While most disadvanage are the spreaiton of rumors and revealed the work secrets and the lack of credibility in addition to the waste of staff time.Also the impact of social network usage on the health affairs staff productivity level is High with an average (3.7) and standard deviation (0.9821). And the most widely social networks used by the respondents (whatsapp), followed by (Twitter) then (snapchat) followed by (Facebook) and finally (yammer). And the degree of social network usage among health affairs employee in holy capital during working hours is medium.
Based on findings, the researcher recommended a set of recommendations, the most important: to encourage and support government agencies that participate and interact with social networks, examination the nature of the published material and how it is utilized in improving the production process, education and outreach to employees and strengthen the positive side of social networks. |
